Topic: Error in config file |
Toni | Hi, I try the qmail sstats program but I always obtain this error: Warning!!!! There maybe some errors in your config file, - please verify message_string directive in your qssstat.conf file. I think that my config file is correct: bin_dir="/usr/local/qsstat/" rescan_time=20 cache_dir=/usr/local/qsstat/cache htdocs=/home/wwwroot/qsstats/ logfile=/usr/local/qsstat/qmail-awstats.log virlog=/var/spool/qmailscan/quarantine.log virlog_rotates=no message_string=checking_message rbl_enable=no maximum_virus_lines=20 maximum_sender_names=20 maximum_local_domains=100 language=en clear_time=3 refresh=300 mail_line=33CC22 mail_fill=00DD00 spam_line=ED20FF spam_fill=ED20FF rbl_line=6117B5 rbl_fill=4E1292 vir_line=990000 vir_fill=990000 Please, anybody help me please? Thanks a lot. |
Seitan | Hi, first of all is 'logfile=/usr/local/qsstat/qmail-awstats.log' really qmail log file (not /var/log/mail.log or maillog ?) second, please verify message string in this log file, if it corresponds to message string youv'e entered in qsstat.conf there must be lines, which looks something like this: Feb 22 22:31:09 hostname spamd[4891]: checking message <xxxxx@xxx.xxx> for someuser@somedomain.com:1018 notice - if there is 'checking message' entry, you must use 'checking_message' directive in qsstat.conf file. sometimes there may be 'processing message' entry, then you must use 'processing_message' directive. That's about all, - there musn't be much more problems. |
Toni | Thanks Seitan, the program works but I have another problem: the image is always blank. The problem is that I use bogofilter and not spamassassin and the message is: start scanning. Thanks a lot Toni |
Seitan | I'm not really sure, that qsstats will work with bogofilter, but try changing 'changin_message' directive to 'start_scanning' Anyway, if it doesn't work, could you please paste me a few lines from your maillog file? |
Toni | Hi Seitan, Thanks a lot. The program works fine, the general statics, the top 20 viruses, the top 20 virus domains and the top 100 receiving domains works fine. Only the graphs doesen't work. The results all ok, for example: Mail stats since: Mon, 07 Feb Total mail scanned: 2225 Total viruses stopped: 17 Total spam found: 2166 Spam percentage: 97.35 Page last generated: Wed Feb 23 15:17:02 2005 Scan starts every 20 minutes. But the graphs always remain blank. Thanks |
Seitan | Please wait for a next scan - graphs wil start showing soon. |
Toni | Thanks, but I scan hourly and is active from yesterday
|
Seitan | Plase paste me contents of your cache/cache.hs file |
Toni | Hi 1109146266:2198:2139:0:17 1109146268:2198:2139:0:17 1109146621:2198:2139:0:17 1109150222:2201:2142:0:17 1109153821:2203:2144:0:17 1109157422:2204:2145:0:17 1109161022:2209:2150:0:17 1109164622:2222:2163:0:17 1109168222:2225:2166:0:17 1109171821:2237:2178:0:17 Thanks |
Seitan | the one thing that comes to my head - try changing rescan_time directive to 5, delete all cache files (in cache/) directory and rerun qsstats. - see if stats will show up. |
Toni |
the same result ... :'( |
Seitan | try runnig read.pl manually - see if there's any error produced. |
Toni | Thanks Seitan, the program runs Ok. The problem is that I use the cron.hourly for execute read.pl instead of qsstat, and the directive rescan_time is 10 insted of 60. Now it works very well. Thanks a lot. |
Seitan | No problem. |
